LOVE YOUR OVERLOCKER - next course May 2012

In this course you will learn how to thread your overlocker, set the needles and adjust tensions, length, width and differential feed. Learn overlocking techniques like roll hem, lettuce, flatlocking, gathering and pin tucking. Learn how to make lingerie straps and how to apply elastics, piping and lace.

Thursday 9.30am-12.30pm Cost: $105 (3 wks)

Never have a fit disaster! Come and sew the garment of your choice whether it is pants, skirt, jacket or a dress, you will learn how to adjust a pattern to fit you perfectly. We will discuss colour and design and how to dress to suit your lifestyle. Sew at your own pace and learn all the tips that give a garment a professional finish. Beginners and Advanced welcome.

FELTING WORKSHOPS

Felt making is great fun and offers the potential to create unique textiles that can be turned into wearables, soft furnishings, toys, accessories, wall hangings etc. Start by making an original felted scarf in soft Merino wool. Progress to Nuno felting and learn how to felt Merino wool together with silk or open weave fabric to make a soft wool/silk
wrap. Join an ongoing workshop and make a bag, beret, beautiful wraps, slippers, soft toys.

Friday and Saturday throughout the year (6 hour workshop)

FELTED JEWELLERY WORKSHOPS

Make bracelets, beads, earrings and necklaces and embellish them with needle felting, beads and embroidery.
