Governance

Over 40 years many community spirited people have volunteered their time and expertise to the Board of Camberwell Community Centre. With the new Centre on Fairholm Grove finally open for business we would like to thank each of them for their commitment and guidance, look how far CCC has come.

The Board currently consists of ten professionals who contribute on a monthly basis to govern and develop the Centre’s organisational growth and success. As a collective there is expertise in retail management, policy and planning, project management, marketing and brand development and financial management.

Announcement: Proposed change of Constitution Rules

In response to the Incorporated Associations Model Rules changes https://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/resources-and-tools/legislation/public-consultations-and-reviews/new-regulations-governing-incorporated-associations-in-victoria, the CCC Constitution Rules have been reviewed by Rules Sub-committee.

Fortunately, the current Constitution Rules already account for most of the changes. The only update is to Rule 11.5, changing the number of days a member can lodge an appeal from 3 days to 7 days. The change is highlighted in yellow in the draft.

The Board has approved the draft Constitution Rules to be presented to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 16 May 2024 for members to vote on the changes.
